Lucinda Battin Frey
My Aunt Alice sent me a Physicians Record Book
that belonged to my Great Grandmother Lucinda Battin Frey. Grandma was a
mid-wife for many years and helped in the birth of many babies in Fox
Township. Aunt Alice said I could keep this book for myself, but
there are other ones scattered amoung the family. I will try to track them
down and borrow them to copy the history.
In the meantime, just a couple of notes to go along with it.
Great-Grandma's writing was very beautiful and flowing, making it a
little hard to read sometimes. I did the best I could and apoligize for any
mistakes. On the other hand, her numbers were very hard to make out.
Most of the pages were signed by her, except that the page with the birth of
Keith McKay was signed by Jennie Brown.
The last two entries were on loose papers just stuck in the book.
The story is now yours to put on the Sullivan County site.
