Ella Bridget Sweeney taught at the Cherry Mills School near Ringer Hill. The Harrison girls were both her students and

Editor's Note: In 1876, the Cherry Mills School was opened just across the road from the Sick homestead in Cherry Mills. The school continued in operation for at least fifty years, and the building itself survives as a power station in 2006. You can see two classes from this school in the early 1920s at Family of Johannes Jakob Messershcmidt by going to that page and scrolling down until you find the two consecutive pictures.
