Lieber Schwager und Schwester,

wenn euch mein Schreiben antrifft wie es mich verlässt, dann soll es mich herzlich freuen. Wir haben ja lange nichts von euch gehört. In eurem letzten Brief habt ihr ja geschrieben, dass die Anna kommen soll. Es hat sich aber nicht so schnell tun lassen, weil sie noch nicht Geld genug hatte. Jetzt hat sie sich zu großer Not zusammengemacht als sie braucht. Wenn es Gottes Wille ist, so will sie bis Ende November dieses Jahres bei euch sein. Du könntest ihr ja gut sein und als einmal an das Ufer gehen, ob sie bald komme, ihre Abreise von hier ist noch nicht so genau bestimmt. Man denkt bis zum 1^ten Oktober kann es gehen. Es kommt noch mit ihr Peter Behlands Wittwe mit ihrer Haushaltung.

Neuigkeit will ich euch keine schreiben. Sie mag sie euch mündlich erzählen. Wir sind noch alle gesund und können schön tanzen (?), doch will ich dir liebe Schwester etwas nur schreiben, dass die Humborgers (?) gerade von Babenhausen auch nach Amerika gereist ist und hat versprochen dich aufzusuchen in New York.
