The 57 photos in this collection were assembled over the years by Homer Lloyd Streby, Jr. and his wife Beatrice (Bump) Streby. Homer's grandson, Brian Streby, prepared PDFs for each
original photo and, where relevant, embedded his own notes and comments in the PDF. We are most grateful to him for his effort and remarks. The Streby family was a prominent German
line in Sullivan County. It is best known for the major history written by George Streby between 1903 and 1905. Much of his information was obtained directly
from the original settlers of the area or their children. In 1921, his daughter, Clara A. (Streby) Ring reissued and updated the history. Brian, who is descended
from Homer Lloyd Streby, Sr., a brother of George Streby, is also a primary historian of the large Streby/Strieby family that settled in Pennsylvania and Ohio, . YOu can explore the larger
story at Strieby Genealogy and History
Our method will be to present the photos as they were assembled in this album from a collection of separate photos kept in a box by Brian's grandparents. Each of the Streby photos will be
"embedded" in a link to the associated PDF. The reader can access the PDF version simply by clicking on each photo. Start with the photo at the top of this page and
then go through the rest in order. There are currently no PDF links for photos number 13-17, but perhaps we will add information as time goes by. You will note that we cannot currently identify many of the people in these photos. Perhaps some helpful reader(s) can assist with
identifications. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Next come three photos which show one of two married couples from the same families. That is, brothers married sisters. They are
either Clinton (1863-1956) and Martha A. (Vough) Streby (1867-1940) or Homer Lloyd, Sr. (1857-1932)
and Alma Jane (Vough) Streby (1862-1912). The boys were sons of Thomas and Caroline (Bleiler) Streby. The girls were daughters of David and Mary Ann (Bittner)
Vough. The contributor is not sure which couples are
shown:

Now we come to three photos of a woman whom we know to be one of the two sisters, Martha or Alma nee Vough, both married to Streby brothers. Clearly, the first two photos
show the same person. But we can't for now identify which is which.

Homer Lloyd Streby, Sr. and Alma Jane Vough had four daughters, one of whom is shown in each of the next three photos. Their names were
Jennie, Bertha, Blanche and Anna. We don't know which daughter is shown in each photo, however.
